On Saturday, November 23rd, Galveston Island Meals on Wheels is celebrating Reverend Ray Pinard at a celebratory dinner to kick off the 25th Annual Golf Tournament festivities. In honor of his many years of service to GIMOW, we are excited to dedicate this tournament to him as the Galveston Island Meals on Wheels 25th Annual Golf Tournament Honoring Reverend Ray Pinard!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 23rd and join us at 6:00 pm for a dinner buffet, cocktails, a silent auction, and live music at the Galveston Country Club. To purchase tickets please contact the GIMOW office or you can buy through PayPal. On Monday, the celebration continues as we hit the links to raise money for GIMOW.

The Rotary Club of Galveston celebrated their End of Year Family Day and Breadbasket Luncheon on December 16, 2015 at their regular Wednesday meeting at Fisherman's Wharf.  This meeting is dedicated to raising funds for Galveston Island Meals on Wheels, with breadbaskets placed on each table to receive donations.

At the close of the one hour meeting, Rotarians and Guests raised $7,110.00 for Meals on Wheels, well exceeding the goal to surpass last year's total. 

Mr. Harold Fattig, Sr. was presented the "Isaiah Star Bright Award" for establishing the Family Day Breadbasket Luncheon 35 years ago.  Keith Bassett, President of the Rotary Club of Galveston and all Rotary Club members were honored for their continuing support of Galveston Island Meals on Wheels.

We had 30 teams, 120 players, and beautiful weather.  Each player received 3 golf balls with our GIMOW logo.

The 2014 Meals on Wheels Golf Tournament was held 
Monday November 24 at the Galveston Country Club.  The weather was beautiful and more than 100 golfers participated.

The 2014 Fall Event was a FRIGHTFUL success!  The TREATS of the evening included the enthusiasm of guests, great food provided by the Galveston Country Club, wonderful music, exciting Silent Auction and Raffle prizes, and bountiful proceeds to benefit the work of GIMOW!

Celebrating four decades of Galveston Island Meals on Wheels providing nutritious food and human company to the homebound and elderly of Galveston, a special Gala event was held at the historic Hotel Galvez on April 25, 2014.   A capacity crowd enjoyed good food, good wine, good music, and highlights of the history or our organization. Special thanks to event co-chairs Carole Gard and Norma Alvey, to Executive Director Rev. Ray Pinard, and President Donna Kearney.
